Here is a photo with great historic significance. This is the Jefferson Armory gun bearing serial number 001 being test fired for the first time. Representing a light regimental signal gun, it was built in 1994 from rough sketches and early period photos. I obtained a reproduction of the original 1841 war department plans for this carriage just after it was built. All succeeding guns have been built following these plans.
