This is the standard half-scale Model 1841 Number One carriage that we build; it can mount any barrel with 1 3/4” diameter trunions and a rim base measurement of 5”, or slightly smaller, without modification. For slightly wider, or narrower barrels, the rondles (spacers between the cheeks and trail stock) can be made in various thicknesses to fit. Cap squares and cheek straps are also available to fit barrels with 2” diameter trunions, such as those from South Bend Replicas.
