This is a reproduction of a Whitworth style breech loading gun with a rifled 40 mm barrel (with the breech open). It loads a projectile and powder charge separately, and is thus not considered a destructive device, but an antique. Targets in the background are at 50 yards (for tabletop miniatures), 100 yards (for smoothbore guns), and 200 yards (for rifled guns).
